Our ongoing love affair with this piece of silk takes us back in time and celebrates its timelessness.
History Of A Silk Scarf
The scarf became popular in the 19th century, when designers saw the potential of fabrics and designs that were coming from countries such as India. However, it first originated in Ancient Egypt, where Queen Nefertiti apparently wore one all the way back in 1350 BC. The scarf went on to be used by Chinese military to show ranks, and again in Croatia later in time.
