Pata Palette

Inspired By Ancient Scroll Paintings

Scarf & Pocket Square Collection

‘Pata’ means cloth based scroll. Manu Chitrakar is a Pata scroll artist who paints and sings. He is a part of a living art and performance tradition that is as open to contemporary new stories and politics as it is to a ncient length and myth.

‘Machli ki shaadi’ (Wedding of the Fish), Lovers and Urban Jungle are a few of Manu Chitrakar’s artworks that we have reinterpreted. The concoction is filled with cultural references and satire such as the painting of a lion playing a sitar, which portrays this fierce animal as a tamed musician. Or eyes and gaze of the animals which depicts a certain vigilance on humans who have destroyed their homes under the garb of progress. Want to gift a modern scarf?
